The report explores how the Healthy Weight Healthy Wales Strategy can be evaluated and what data could be collected to support evaluation.
This is the latest release
The report maps out how the strategy’s activities would translate into outputs, short-term outcomes and long-term impacts.
It recommends that additional data is collected, where there are gaps. This would include measurements of height and weight for a representative sample of adults across Wales.
It is recommended that a process evaluation is undertaken in the first few years of the Healthy Weight Healthy Wales strategy to explore its implementation. This should be followed by outcome evaluation, before impact evaluation and economic evaluation are undertaken towards the end of the 10-year strategy.
